03 · This week's main issue — Rewards manufacturing country misrepresented / Artist IP unauthorized use cases

We share a case of consumer misconceptions due to the unauthorized use of the Rewards manufacturing country misrepresentation and artist IP.

1. Report of false labeling by the manufacturing country of Rewards
Details of report
In the reward information, the country of manufacture was marked as Korea, but the product actually received was marked Made in China, so a consumer report was received for false labeling of the country of manufacture.
Details of confirmation
As a result of checking, the lens is made in Korea / the frame is made in China, and the manufacturing country should be marked as 'China' according to the product labeling standards. Accordingly, we have provided information on the contents related to supporters by revising the notice of the reward information and writing new news.
2. Report on Artist IP Unauthorized Use
Details of report
The agency's permission for the artist's use of IP in the project story and information related to the use of trademark rights have not been confirmed, and the report has been filed due to the creation of false information related to the official fan cafe.
Details of confirmation
Fact-checking of the contract and rights relationship regarding the use of artist images and names in the project is currently underway, and the project will proceed normally when the contents of the license are confirmed.
Operational Complement Direction
Based on the above case, Wadiz will continue to strengthen the inspection of project story and reward information to prevent consumer confusion due to misrepresentation of reward information and unauthorized use of IP, image, and content by others.
