CASE 01\n A case of misleading advertising of medicines and medical procedures
Beauty / Cosmetics Act / Display and Advertising Act /\n Modification

01 · Sensing

AI Monitoring

AI monitoring captured the material in which the image of the procedure scene of injecting the face was written in the story of the cosmetics project.

02 · Review

Operator Review

We checked whether the injection/procedure image misidentifies cosmetics as medical procedures/medical effects based on the Cosmetics Act and the Labeling and Advertising Act.

03 · Measures

Request to modify the story

The image reminiscent of medical practice was requested to be corrected, and the maker completed the reflection.

CASE 01 Detail Case
It's a cosmetic product. A picture of an injection procedure? — Cosmetics and medical procedures are different.
The cosmetic project used a procedure scene in which an injection was given to the face as a representative image of the story. Consumers could mistake this product for having a skin treatment or drug-level effect. Cosmetics are products that act on the surface of the skin and cannot claim the effect of treating diseases or medical procedures (the Cosmetics Act, the Fair Labeling and Advertising Act), and Wadiz found this through monitoring and requested the correction of the image, and the maker completed the reflection.

02 · This week's major issues

This is a case of reporting and follow-up monitoring after project exposure.

"You look so much like our story" — reporting similarities in content composition
Details of report
A maker has reported copyright infringement, saying that other projects' story composition and deployment methods and some advertising expressions are similar to their contents.
Confirmation & Action
Looking at it, it was confirmed that the image of the company's product was used as a comparison target without the consent of the right holder. We judged that there was a problem in terms of copyright and display advertisements, so we requested correction and correction of the image and expression, and the expression was revised.
"I want to return it, but 30,000 won?" — Adjust excessive return shipping costs
confirmed opinion
In one home appliance project, the return shipping fee was set at 15,000 won unopened and 30,000 won at the time of opening. In particular, 30,000 won after opening was too high compared to the price of the product (40,000 won), leading to supporters' opinions that "it is actually at the level of preventing returns," and some even mentioned the possibility of reporting to external agencies.
Details of confirmation
Wadiz asked the maker to confirm the standard for calculating the return shipping cost. The maker abolished the classification of unopened and unopened 30,000 won, unified the return delivery fee to a single amount of 10,000 won, and revised the related information, and refunded the difference individually to supporters who had already returned based on 30,000 won.
Operational Complement Direction
Wadiz will continue to review reports and supporters' opinions even after exposure, mediate issues related to rights through fair procedures, and improve conditions under excessive supporter burden to a reasonable level.

03 · Summary of this week's operations

This week was a week that looked at AI monitoring as well as reports received and supporters' opinions.

1
Current status of AI monitoring measures
196 projects were monitored, 28 of which led to maker correction requests and 2 non-exposure measures.
2
Follow-up monitoring, reporting, and comments were checked and taken
The content similarity copyright report was mediated by Wadiz in the middle to help both parties negotiate smoothly, and the excessive return shipping cost, which was 30,000 won at the time of opening, was adjusted to 10,000 won and the difference was refunded to the existing supporter.
3
I'll take a look at it next week, too
The next Transparency Report will be published on July 6, 2026. Wadiz will continue to disclose operational status and key action cases, and we will keep an environment where supporters can participate with confidence.
