Is it absolutely necessary to submit safety certification documents such as KC certification?

If you are a reward for KC certification (including children's products) or household chemical products subject to safety verification, it is essential to submit relevant safety certification documents before the opening of this funding.

This document is a requirement directly related to product safety, so please check the submission criteria according to the maker type (domestic/overseas).

✅ Korean manufacturer safety certification documents 

• Depending on the reward item, the required documents are different, and the applicable documents among the items below must be submitted.
   
  • Safety certificate of electrical appliances / Safety confirmation report certificate / Supplier compliance test report applicable documents
  • Safety certificate of household goods / Safety confirmation report certificate / Supplier compliance test report applicable documents
  • Certificate of battery safety confirmation (if battery is built in)
  • Adapter Safety Confirmation Report Certificate (when using the adapter)
  • Certificate of Compliance with Safety Standards
  • Children's product safety certification / safety verification / supplier suitability verification applicable documents
     
• If the KC certification (including children's products) and safety standards compliance declaration have not been submitted before the opening of this funding,
  • Open scheduled disclosure is possible, but there are restrictions on this funding opening.
• You can update the safety certification documents to the maker studio before submitting the project, and after the project opening schedule is released, you can submit them on the Maker Studio > [Send/Refund Management] tab.

✅ Overseas Manufacturer KC Certification Documents 

Overseas manufacturers the type of entry into KoreaIt is divided into direct purchase type (Korea/Global), and whether or not to submit KC certification documents is different.
 

• Overseas Manufacturer_ Enter Korea

  • The same standards apply as Korean makers.

  • We need to submit the same legal required documents as domestic makers such as KC certification.
     

• Overseas manufacturer_ Direct purchase type (Korea/Global)

  • There is no need to submit a separate national statutory mandatory document.

  • Therefore, the obligation to submit domestic legal certification documents, including KC certification, is exempted.
