Can we restrict refunds for the supporter simply changing their minds?

✅ Wadiz Simple Change of Mind Refund Limited

Depending on the reward characteristics or refund policy, simple change of mind refunds may be restricted, especially for overseas shipments (shipping outside of Korea), simple change of mind refunds will not be possible after delivery has started. 

 

 

  • Non-refundable in common (all project types common) 

    Refunds are not possible if the supporter simply changes his or her mind. 
    The common reason for non-refund is the standard according to the law, and any change is not possible.
     
    • Where a request for return or refund due to a simple change of mind of a supporter has passed seven days from the date of receipt of the reward

    • In the event of a simple change of mind refund request after shipment (shipping) from overseas shipping

    • Where a product is lost or damaged due to reasons attributable to supporters

    • The use or consumption of rewards has reduced the value

    • In the case of initiating and viewing reproducible rewards such as e-books, CDs, DVDs, software, etc

    • Refunds are restricted by other statutes or terms and conditions

 

  • If 'simple change of mind refund restriction' is possible due to the nature of the reward 

    In the following cases, simple change of mind refunds can be restricted because it is difficult to resell or because of the high cost loss. 
    This type can be set directly from the Maker Studio [Policies] tab.
     

    • Rewards that are individually produced according to order, such as imprinting, painting, and 1:1 customization

    • Rewards that decrease in value over time, such as fresh, frozen foods, plants, etc

    • Rewards that require advance reservations, such as accommodation and photography tickets, are difficult to resell due to the imminent deadline for use of rewards

    • In the case where serious damage is expected to the maker due to the fact that electronic tickets (QR code, bar code, etc.) cannot be recovered

    • In the case of a funding project that raises and uses success funds for the purpose of donation and sponsorship

    • If the reward corresponds to an individual import, additional logistics costs that the manufacturer cannot anticipate upon return or if domestic resale is not possible 

 


 

🌍 Restrict simple change of mind refund for global projects

 

For global projects that can ship rewards to countries other than Korea, the refund standard for overseas supporters and domestic (Korean) supporters is different. Due to the nature of overseas delivery, simple change of mind refunds are restricted, and general refund rules apply to domestic supporters. 

 

  • Overseas supporters (outside of Korea): Simple change of mind refund not possible. ❌
     
    • Overseas shipments incur additional costs such as return, customs clearance, and customs, so overseas supporters' request for a simple change of mind refund is restricted due to the Wadiz policy.

 

  • Domestic Supporters (Korea): Simple change of mind refund available. ⭕
     
    • However, it can be restricted if it falls under the "refund restrictions due to the nature of the reward."

  2. Move the [Project Management] → [Policy] Menu
     
  3. [If a simple change of mind refund is not possible due to the nature of the reward] Check the contents and check if it is applicable

📌 Upon checking, supporters cannot cancel the payment until the reward is delivered. After delivery, you can apply for a refund by a simple change of mind, but the maker can refuse it depending on the characteristics of the reward. If the reason for the refund is not appropriate, the restrictions may be lifted after administrator review.
