What currency are global project payments processed in?

Payments for global Project are processed in South Korean Won (KRW).

✅ The local currency is also displayed on the overseas supporter screen.

  • When a global supporter participates in a project, the payment screen displays the amount in Korean Won (KRW) along with the amount converted into the currency of that country.

    • For example, in the case of a US supporter, KRW + USD is displayed on the payment screen, which is a reference guide to help the supporter intuitively understand the actual payment amount.

  • This amount is automatically calculated based on the exchange rate of the day, and the actual payment currency is always Korean Won (KRW).

⚠️ The actual payment amount may vary depending on the exchange rate and fees.

  • Since the exchange rate and overseas payment fees based on the card company used by the supporter are applied at the time of payment, there may be a difference between the displayed foreign currency amount and the actual card billing amount.

  • Therefore, it is important to inform the supporter of this in advance.

    • Example phrase
"Payments from overseas supporters are made in Korean Won, and the amount charged may vary depending on the exchange rate and card company policy. The foreign currency display on the payment screen is for reference only, and the actual payment will be processed in Korean Won"
